Rock Hard

According to Hits Daily Double, Australian hard-rock legends AC/DC have sold 7 million physical albums in the US between 2004 and 2007, more than the combined physical and digital totals of PINK FLOYD (6 million), THE EAGLES (5.1 million), THE ROLLING STONES (4.9 million) or LED ZEPPELIN (4.7 million). By comparison, THE BEATLES have sold 8 million CDs during the same period. Like THE BEATLES, AC/DC has yet to make its catalog available online, leading to the unanswerable question of how much, if it all, the iTunes boycott has benefited the band’s overall sales.

The AC/DC catalog, owned by the band, moved with them from WMG to its present home at Sony.

AC/DC's new single, 'Rock 'N Roll Train', is the first song to debut at No. 1 on the Rock (spins) chart in the BDS (Broadcast Data Systems)Canada era (beginning 1997) and the first AC/DC song in the BDS era to reach #1.

Black Ice, AC/DC's first studio album in eight years, will be released on October 20th with three different collectible covers. A Deluxe Edition of Black Ice will also be available. This limited edition hardcover deluxe package features a 30-page expanded booklet with exclusive new illustrations, studio and live photographs of AC/DC.

The tracklisting is as follows: 'Rock 'N Roll Train', 'Skies On Fire', 'Big Jack', 'Anything Goes', 'War Machine', 'Smash 'N Grab', 'Spoilin' For A Fight', 'Wheels', 'Decibel', 'Stormy May Day', 'She Likes Rock 'N Roll', 'Money Made', 'Rock N Roll Dream', 'Rocking All The Way', 'Black Ice'.

Black Ice features 15 new tracks from brothers Angus and Malcolm Young, Brian Johnson, Cliff Williams, and Phil Rudd. The album was produced by Brendan O'Brien and mixed by Mike Fraser at the Warehouse Studio in Vancouver, BC.
