Ottawa, Ontario rockers JOE THRASHER have issued the following update from departed guitarist Gumby:

"I am no longer the bass player for Joe Thrasher. It was a decision that have been dwelling on for a few months now, and only just realized that the best course of action would be me to step down from the band.

There is no hard feelings with any of the guys in the band, they're all great guys, fun to hang with, and amazing musicians. I'll still be at the shows, and I'm still a huge fan of the music. My life is going through a big change, and this choice was sadly one that had to be made.

I'm not sure what I will do, I'd like to stay in the metal scene, but at this time I have no plans on a new band, just jam with some friends. Thanks for making the past three years fuckin amazing! I'll never forget them, or any of the fans."

In other news, the band are in the process of finishing recording sessions for their next album, tentatively due in the fall.
