Swedish metallers OPETH have announced that they will perform in Dubai, United Arab Emirates at the 2009 Desert Rock festival, scheduled for March 6th - 7th at Dubai Festival City.

This will be the band's first time playing in the Middle East. Further festival details to be announced.

As previously reported, Opeth's upcoming live dates in Melbourne and Brisbane, Australia are officially sold out - the Swedes comment: "A huge thank you! Opeth will also appear in Perth, Adelaide and Sydney so if you want to see Opeth make sure to get a hold of a ticket!"
