TributeAlbums.com recently caught up with Jimmy D of Connecticut rock outfit, EMERALD MONKEY to discuss the Monkey-Macmaster joint effort that was cut short by the untimely passing of former BONHAM lead singer Daniel MacMaster.

TributeAlbums.com: How and when did you begin working with Daniel?

Jimmy D: "Around late 2004. Daniel had a little search via his website. Sort of like the Rock Star INXS show, but he was looking for the band. When I sent him instrumentals to sing over, we found a writing chemistry like no other. We both knew that we found something special. From there we started bangin out tunes. Both of us wanted to go in the same direction."

TributeAlbums.com: How would you describe the Monkey-Macmaster material?

Jimmy D: "It's not so much not like BONHAM, and not like anything that I did early on in Emerald Monkey. It has a more modern feel to it. We've both grown so much since the scene in the late 80's early 90's, but there is still a pinch of hair in there somewhere.....lol"

MacMaster also contributed vocals to a bonus recording of KISS classic 'Shout It Out Loud' on Emerald Monkey's re-creation of KISS' Creatures Of The Night album titled Heroes Of The Night.

In early 2000 TributeAlbums.com released PROPHECY by singer/songwriter Ralph E. Carle. As a tribute to the late Eric Carr, former drummer for rock group KISS, PROPHECY received an impressive response from KISS fans and music fans world wide. Since then TributeAlbums.com has turned out impressive projects including tributes to KISS, GUNS N' ROSES, and Cartoon Theme Songs. There are more in the works, so stay tuned.
