RAGE guitarist Victor Smolski's website has been updated as follows:

"Again, the Nürburgring with the legendary Green Hell will be home for Victor for a couple of days, where Victor will take part at the 24h race - the biggest race event of the year!. On Wednesday, 21st of May, Victor's gonne take part at the corso showdrive, and on Thursday, 22nd of May, he'll take part at the Rundstrecken Challenge with his new BMW M3/E30, car number 160, which was prepared by Veytal Tuning. On Friday, there are 2 qualifyings for the 24h race. On Saturday at 3 p.m., Victor will start into the 24h race with a BMW M3/E46 of dizzy-motorsport, having the start number 221.

All fans are welcome to visit Victor at the box 20 or at the team-tent at the truck of dizzy-motorsport. Everybody who ain't gonna make it to the Nürburgring, can see the whole 24h race on DSF in TV. For more details see www.24h-rennen.de.

An orchestral version of the song 'Lord Of The Flies' from the new RAGE album Carved In Stone was recorded especially for the computer game Windchaser. The recordings took place at the beginning of January 2008 in the Inspector studios in Minsk (Belarus), the home country of Victor Smolski, who was responsible for the arrangement and mix also."

Locomotive Records will release Carved In Stone - the 18th Rage album in 22 years - on June 10 in North America. According to a press release, "bassist/vocalist Peter “Peavey” Wagner, guitarist extraordinaire Victor Smolski and new powerhouse drummer Andre Hilgers have created one of the band’s heaviest, yet most accessible and thrashy albums of the Rage catalog. Carved In Stone is certain to win the band new fans."

It’s been two years since their well-received Speak Of The Dead album and one year since the impressive CD/DVD Live In St. Petersburg set. After performing at numerous prestigious European festivals and on various tours, Rage committed itself to the studio for this, a CD that many Rage fanatics will compare favorably to the band’s 1995 Black In Mind masterpiece.
