Swedish black metallers, who are currently on the road in Europe supporting VADER, have issued the following update:
Emil (Dragutinovic, drums): "Still ill....I can't believe it. Looks like it's hard to get better by sleeping in a hot bus where there is not much fresh air. Nice to have a sunny day, just chilling in the sun and doing the usual show that we do. Nothing fancy about this place."
Legion (vocals): "Rob has a weird fascination for cattle feces. 'Dungcool', 'That's so dunghard!'. The cowshit related expressions is flying constantly, happy as hell he bursts 'Dunggold!' hahaha! We're in Basque country, doing a cool show in a venue where the stage is built up like a flight of stairs that separates the crowd from the band. 'Are you ready?' I peptalk backstage jumping around like a Grover of Sesame Street. 'Dungprep' Rob replies stretching his Anaconda like arms in the air. I find myself running up and down out amongst the metalheads bridging the border as much as I can. Metal is about so much more than music. It's spirit. Friendship. Borderless territory. Regardless of going to a new city, country, continent where everything cultural and language wise is too different to explain - metal people is still the same. In the bus it's a pack of likeminded souls travelling together. The music is pumping out of the stereo, the sound of bottles opening. The Polish laugh loud and the 'Kourrrrwa!!'..s are flying. The Greeks gather round in a hectic debate way they go 'Malaka Malaka Malaka!!!'. The Swedes go 'Fan! Helvete! Skål för fan!' and over all the noise I hear Rob screaming in his cell phone to his girlfriend 'I fucking dunglove you!!!' Hahaha!! World without end..."
Tomas (Nilsson, guitars): "I'm feeling kind of sick today. I phone my parents and find out that I have an invitation for a wedding at home in August. The venue had like stair in front of the stage and Legion did some really cool crustcore moves today. It almost felt like a gig with Aktiv Dödshjälp hahaha!"
Jonas (guitars): "Ok, the first day in Spain. My expectations are high. I want sun and I want beer. I and Tomas start off by taking a long walk through the nice little town of Durango. Realize there's pharmacias in every corner. Guess there a lot of sick people in this town. Looks very good for our show then...we need sick people starting moshpits and shit. Ok, back from the walk the ice-cold beer is a great friend and friendship should be cherished. The gig was ok apart from the stairs in front of the stage which kinda scared away the audience. We did our best convincing we are da shit and according to some people we talked to after the gig we were da shit."
As previously reported, Devian are working on new songs for their upcoming second album, which will be recorded later this year.
