Former MEGADETH guitarist MARTY FRIEDMAN's website has been updated with the following:
"Inspired by Marty's TV performance of Japanese standard 'Amagi Goe', Seattle Mariners superstar Ichiro Suzuki will be using Marty's new version of SAYURI ISHIKAWA's classic song as his new theme song.
Marty arranged and played the song on the primetime TV show Daredemo Picasso last winter. He was honored to have the legendary singer Ishikawa herself join him in the performance. The arrangement was an "aggressive" take on a traditional Japanese melody.
Marty will appear again on Daredemo Picasso on May 30th, performing 'Tears Of An Angel' from the latest album, Future Addict."
