Norway's Imhotep has issued an interview with AMON AMARTH frontman Johan Hegg, conducted by Andreas Aubert. The following is an excerpt:

Q: When I said that it seems you work to perfect your style, I was thinking that you have an easily recognizable sound. You never make any drastic changes but rather refine what you have already.

A: “We try to evolve gradually, not taking too big steps at the time, both musically and with the production. We have always had an idea about what kind of music we want to play and how it shall sound. We always want to develop this, and cannot just stagnate; we always need to take on step further. Of course there are always small details we wish to improve, but we all feel that we have come very close to our ultimate sound. We have a certain style which we have been true towards since the beginning.”
