According to the Daily Record, ALICE COOPER's Scots snake supplier is frantically searching for a new boa ahead of the rocker’s next UK date.

Bill Crowe, 56, who has been providing snakes for Cooper since 1997, has lost his second slithery pet in two years – just months before the American rock god is due to return to the country.

The life-long fan, from Haddington, East Lothian, first loaned Cooper his boa Lady Macbeth after meeting his hero at a record signing.

When the snake died in February 2011, another of Bill’s pets, Dali, got its chance at fame.

But the 8ft boa constrictor, which features on the artwork of Cooper’s latest album, died of suspected pneumonia earlier this month.

And now NHS worker Bill is desperately searching for a suitable replacement before the rocker’s appearance at Fairport’s Cropredy Convention in Oxfordshire this summer.

He said: “Alice is back in the UK in August and Dali was expected to be there.

“Alice and his people are aware that Dali’s dead. They put an acknowledgement of his loyalty on their website.

“Dali started off with Alice in Belfast in 2011 and took part in the photoshoot for the new album, Welcome 2 My Nightmare.

“I’m frantically on the lookout for another sizeable boa constrictor but they’re not easy to source.”
