Metal Express Radio correspondent Mick Burgess recently caught up with TREMONTI frontman Mark Tremonti (ALTER BRIDGE, CREED) on the band's UK tour supporting SLASH. Topics of discussion include playing with VAN HALEN bassist Wolfgang Van Halen, his relationship with Myles Kennedy (Alter Bridge, Slash), recording his solo album and his plans for the future.

Tremonti: "When we first got together to do it, it was just gonna kinda be a little side project to release online. But as we heard how it was turning out in the studio we got really excited about it and decided to give it our all."

Tremonti recently filmed a video for 'So You're Afraid', the follow-up single to 'You Waste Your Time'; it can be seen below. It was recorded and shot live at Groovemaster Studios in Chicago, IL back in April; with all live audio recorded by Grammy-nominated producer Johnny K.

Some may know the variation of this riff from Mark Tremonti's Sound and the Story Guitar Instructional DVD as part of a riff exercise. The riff stuck around and eventually blossomed into the four-minute alternative metal tune, 'So You're Afraid'.
