Canadian prog rock legends RUSH have been eligible for induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame since 1999, 25 years after the release of their first record in the US. The band, along with numerous others in the realm of hard rock including KISS, MOTÖRHEAD, JUDAS PRIEST, IRON MAIDEN, THIN LIZZY, JOURNEY, JETHRO TULL, CHEAP TRICK, DEF LEPPARD and BAD COMPANY have been seriously overlooked, giving the establishment a black eye when it comes to credibility.

But bands still revel in the thoughts of being in America's "supposed" elite musical organization.

The 28th Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held in Los Angeles at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE on Thursday, April 18, 2013. The show will be broadcast on HBO at a later date.
