As part of the Black Sabbath And The Birth Of Heavy Metal six-part series presented by Vice, Bill Ward speaks to presenter Jesse Hughes about all things Sabbath.

Bill Ward told EAGLES OF DEATH METAL's Jesse Hughes, who is presenting the show; "I wanna play hard rock music. I wanna play loud drums. I love playing with Terry. I love playing with Oz. And I love playing with Tony. When Tony opens up with huge chords man, I still get the same shiver up my back than I did when we were eighteen year old kids.”

In February, Ward said in an extensive statement: "At this time, I would love nothing more than to be able to proceed with the Black Sabbath album and tour. However, I am unable to continue unless a 'singable' contract is drawn up; a contract that reflects some dignity and respect toward me as an original member of the band."
The reunited Black Sabbath - guitarist Tony Iommi, singer Ozzy Osbourne, bassist Geezer Butler - have written 15 songs with Rick Rubin (METALLICA, SLAYER) at the production helm. In an interview with NME in June Ozzy remarked: "Next year - 2013 - is a good clue of what we'll call the album."
