Melodic death metallers INCASSUM, based in Manchester, England, will release their debut full-length album, Rite Of Passage, on Rocksector Records on November 19th.

The founding members, Sharleen, John & Roo (Snowden) met at Salford University in 2004, and in sharing common interests and musical influences the logical step was to put a band together. Launching themselves on the North West live circuit their early promise became evident and those people in attendance will recollect some colossal nights with a band which was clearly becoming a force to be reckoned with. This level of reputation in the live arena has served the band well from inception up-to-date. With a small number of line-up changes Chris Taylor later joined on lead guitar and Joe Ratcliffe on bass.

After self-releasing two demos, Incassum signed to Casket Records in 2008 for the release of a mini-album, In Vain, which is the English meaning of the band's Latin name.

Following on from In Vain, the band has further established itself on the live circuit, across the UK and Ireland including a tour with fellow Mancunians SPIRES, and have also worked relentlessly on the new record - this time a full length album encompassing a more diverse sound, a little more progressive and sophisticated.

Rite Of Passage was recorded at both Gracieland and Noiseboy Studios in Greater Manchester during 2012, co-produced by Stephen Boyce Buckley amd Incassum. Mastered by Maor Applebaum at Maor Applebaum Studios, California. Artwork by Stephen Williams. Photography by Don Jackson-Wyatt.
