Frontman Joakim Brodén commented on the song: “Actually one of the first songs (if not the first) I wrote for this album and also one of the reasons that we decided to record the album in Swedish as well as English. When I wrote the chorus, the lyrics came to me in Swedish at the same time as I was writing the music, so I basically recorded the chorus in Swedish, and the rest in English on the pre-production. When Pär and I listened to it later we talked about doing that song in Swedish, which a couple of beers later resulted in us deciding to do the whole album in both languages.”

‘Love Live The King’ comes off the band’s latest album Carolus Rex, which recently hit the charts around the world.
