Waters: "That was a time when Annihilator had the biggest record ever, titled Never, Neverland, so we were a special guest. The opener was an unknown (in Europe) band who's record was just released in the USA but was just on it's way in Europe. Soon after, they became one of the biggest and most influential bands in metal history: the mighty Pantera!"

On hanging with Dimebag Darryl: "Dime and I were the same; we had the fact of EDDIE VAN HALEN being our favorite guitar player in common, as well as RANDY RHOADS, MATTHIAS JABS from the SCORPIONS, etc. Dime and I occasionally jammed in the usually-shared dressing room, and occasionally on the always-shared tour bus! Haha! He was a sweet guy... super nice. We actually exchanged a lot of licks and things. Evidence of that is a song I wrote called '25 Seconds', and also called 'Operation Annihilation'. Conversely, listen to that section 2/3 of the way through '5 Minutes Alone' and you can hear a cool Annihilator guitar and drum riff from our song 'Stonewall'. So, Dime and I did the same thing... we soaked up all the favorite players and bands and made 'em into our own style. He mostly drew from METALLICA and BLACK SABBATH with some VAN HALEN grooves and VH/Rhoads soloing, while I took more from the EXODUS, RAZOR, Priest, IRON MAIDEN, ACDC, SLAYER vibes."
