British blues-rock power trio FIREBIRD - featuring guitarist/vocalist Bill Steer (CARCASS) - have issued the following update:

"A new Firebird album has been mastered this week. Entitled Double Diamond, it was recorded and mixed in January at Arno Krabman's Graveland Studio in the Netherlands.

Musically this recording heralds a new chapter for the band, seeing Steer and drummer Ludwig Witt draw inspiration from some of their earliest metal favourites such as BUDGIE, FIST and TANK.

The ten songs featured are:
