"As I type this, the ink is drying on the pages and pages of marketing plans I have to review from our prospective new label. I feel blessed to be able to say that in the 10 years of SBTs career, we may possibly have our best time in front of us! Its been a few years since I have been “in the scene”. Looks like the record industry is changing a lot. I am not even sure I understand some of what I am reading in this contract!!!!
Regardless, we are pushing ahead with full force.
So this is Single Bullet Theory version 6.0. New faces yet again, new blood and new ideas. I can honestly say I have never been happier. I have always been 100% behind the creative forces on all of my recordings (with the exception of the Pissing Razors record Evolution which I really wish I hadn’t played on for a variety of reasons).
However, with this recording I am letting everyone bring their own flair to the table and its paying off in huge amounts.
The pre-final mix version of T'he Edge Of Broken' has been getting a lot of great feedback. Thos of you how have not yet heard it can do so (below):
I am also really happy to announce that we have two additional guest guitarists performing on our modern day "hanger 18". The song is called 'Auctioneer Of Souls' and it will feature Mark Simpson (FLOTSAM AND JETSAM, BEAUTIFUL CREATURES) and JACK FROST. This being in addition to Jed Simon (STRAPPING YOUNG LAD) and Tim Roth (INTO ETERNITY).
I am particularly excited to hear the final versions of this song as I love instrumentals and this song is blazing fast. Plus, it has 12 or 13 solos in it so its right up any guitar geeks alley!!! I know all these dudes will tear into their prospective solos like it is the last day on earth!
So, its been a rocky road but I am happy as can be now!"
