Swedish stoner trio GRAND MAGUS recently completed work on their upcoming album, Hammer Of The North, at Studio 301 just outside of Stockholm.

The band have revealed the album artwork (click image at left to enlarge). They state: "Necrolord is a legend and has created some of the most striking and powerful images ever, he's also closely connected with Swedish metal. We just knew that he would deliver the perfect feel, mood and imagery for the new record. No one else would come close, it's an honour to have his
artwork for Hammer Of The North."

Grand Magus - who recently inked a deal with Roadrunner Records - include "JB" Christofferson (guitars, lead vocals), Fox Skinner (bass, backing vocals), Sebastian "Seb" Sippola (drums).

Hammer Of The North will be released in the spring/early summer and will feature the band's "style of full-on metal assault with fantastic heavy riffing and stomping songs, strong hook-lines, epic vocals/lyrics and rousing solo guitars," according to a recent press release.
