Mike Carras at Rock My Monkey recently caught up with BLACK ROBOT's Jonathan "JB" Brightman. Check it out via the audio player below. Following is an overview from Carras:

"Notice how many so called Rock bands now sound like the most over produced pop garbage? It's like Rock 'N' Roll has had it's testicles removed. Rock was never supposed to be so damn safe! True Rock is dirty ugly and mean and Black Robot brings back that feel that so many seem to miss.

The bands' new material sounds like they hit record and went for it. No 20 takes. No over saturation of effects where their is no way a band can pull it off live without the background tape being louder than the actual band. This is about as raw as Rock gets. So if you are looking for some weak pop tune someone can sing on American idol, keep looking. This is not your band! If you want to be reminded of the integrity Rock 'n' Roll used to have, take a listen.

Listen as JB talks about all things Black Robot. Including his time with BUCKCHERRY, what Black Robot has to offer, and why you should give this new band a chance."
