ROCK STAR and SUPER STAR, the artists working on the Serenity concept CD for the Making Sobriety Cool Project, have issued the following update:

Want to ride with Super Star and Rock Star's Cycle Boom tour from Los Angeles to Vegas?

Would we expect anything less from these two die-hard Kiss fans? Like the rest of us, Rock Star and Super Star can't wait for the Kiss album Sonic Boom to hit Wal-Mart’s store shelves. To celebrate the release of Kiss' latest effort and Super Star's new-found sobriety, Rock and Super intend to bike between Wal-Mart stores in Los Angeles and Las Vegas beginning Oct. 6 in - you guessed it! - full Kiss costume and makeup.

When asked if he has ever done anything like this before, Super replies, "Nope, but I haven't been this sober this long either. I'm not just doing this to celebrate the awesomeness of Kiss's latest release, but also to raise awareness about the addiction problem among our youth. Kiss was there for me right at the beginning of my attempt to get clean. Just having the chance to work with so many members of the Kiss family on our upcoming ‘Serenity’ CD been a major help in keeping me on track. It shows that if you can get sober, you can live out all of your dreams, as I am doing.”

Super Star will make the 300-mile Kiss-inspired bike ride, while his twin Rock Star rides shotgun. "I'm going to follow him and get media coverage for the cause along the way,” Rock says. “I think he's nuts but I am very proud of what he has accomplished in this last year. Besides, Rock Stars aren't meant for biking so I get a pass this time around."

If any members of the Kiss Army want to join Super Star on this venture, contact him at
super@superstarsuperstar.com. The more Kiss fans who participate, the more attention to the album as well as the importance of sobriety. It has also been recently learned that Rock Star is going to be giving away a guitar from his collection autographed by Paul Stanley somewhere between the start and finish line. Details on this will be announced soon!

The brothers’ We Are One Foundation has set up a donations page at Weareoneonline.org for anyone who would like to sponsor Super Star on this very sobering journey. A portion of the proceeds will go to the foundation’s campaign to fight youth addiction. Says Super Star, “I am truly doing this to give all the little Kiss fans who need help a chance to face their demons head on and conquer them early in their life."

We wish you the best of luck, Super Star. We’ll be watching!
