As previously reported, CLOUD NINE guitarist Shu and vocalist Yazz have launched a new band, CRAZY QUARTER MILE. According to BW&BK's source in the band's native Japan, it is essentially Cloud Nine with a different rhythm section, which features bassist Pros (ex-BOOZE) and female drummer / vocalist Hina.

In October the band released their first single, 'Dust! Dust! Dust!', which was sold at shows and is available through mail order. The tracklist iincludes 'Dust! Dust! Dust!', 'Frontier', and an acoustic version of the Cloud Nine track 'Trample Me Down'.
