You gotta love crust punk: this band formed in 2010 but they may as well have formed 15 years ago, or yesterday, or not even exist. It's all the same, man. Members of this band are in another band on the same record label (Southern Lord) that one could argue are more or less interchangeable with KROMOSOM, that being NUCLEAR DEATH TERROR. But weirdos like me know the difference, and with stuff this grimy, it's all in the crab- and lice-infected subtleties: for example, this Aussie bunch keeps things much more raw and dirty than Nuclear Death Terror (not that that band is U2 or anything). And while Kromosom are not doing much new, they are doing it with a rather humorous (unintentional) and enjoyable intensity that anyone into short, fast, and loud tunes should appreciate. Because this is crust punk, this 23-minute disc collects many vinyl releases, with sound quality jumping around from track to track at an entertaining and only slightly infuriating rate. Not mandatory, but fun for fans of the genre.
