PHOTO GALLERIESProgpower USA - This One Goes To Eleven
Atlanta's annual celebration of progressive and power metal played host to bands from Sweden, Israel, Norway, Germany, Brazil, Denmark and the USA, with CRIMSON GLORY and FATES WARNING headlining successive evenings. Along the way, personal highlights included treating this gathering to the fastest/most intense set ever performed at ProgPower, courtesy of CAGE and a powerfully energetic display by future headliner SABATON. The eclectic sounds of mesmerizing ORPHANED LAND held fans rapt on day two. With vocalist Nils K Rue, a talent shamefully a virtual unknown outside this knowledgeable cliche, the brilliant PAGAN'S MIND disappointed no one (except the lovefest that demanded an impossibly endless set). A returning BRAINSTORM treated debuted a pair from their forthcoming Memorial Roots.
