CHILDREN OF BODOM - Gigantour Day Off In Philly

Special report by Mark Gromen:

Finnish metallers CHILDREN OF BODOM had the opportunity to play nine songs (almost 50% more than during the Gigantour dates) at the Electric Factory, in Philadelphia, PA on April 24th. As soon as the opening act finished, chants of "Bodom, Bodom" began in earnest, even though the band was still a half hour from taking the stage. Once on, they began with 'Six Pounder', followed by 'Living Deadbeat' and 'In Your Face'. Alexi Laiho talked to the crowd, hocking up a big ball of phlem as Janne Wirman began 'Hate Me' on the keys, Laiho stage right. Newbie 'Hellhound On My Tail' was aired, as well as twin guitar leads of 'Angels Don't Kill', the guitarist in his familiar pose, lunched over the mic, foot on the monitor.
