If I see singles of it somewhere I may go that route. All we have here are the singles dude. Only like 3 or 4 bucks, I'll probably bite on it next week.

Re: NOW DRINKING - BEER SNOBBERY VOL. 4
I'm not sure how much I liked it. It was super sweet. I'm usually okay with barley wines, and like them, this was sweeter than that. I do need to get more and let it mellow. Perhaps that will change. It is classified as a dopplebock, but i guess i didn't feel that personally.

I drank that stuff like 20 years ago and I hated it back then, doesnt mean anything I used to drink a lot of German beer back then. Now the only thing German I like is cars.

These are some of the great brews I've had over the past week, all of them much different: Guldan Draak - Not much to say. Excellent world class strong dark belgian Tiger Tripel - Very surprised by this. Not by how good it was, but by the smokey, peaty taste. Very good and very unique. Revolution Stout - Much better than i was expecting. Solid, and a definite re-buy. Samiclaus - This outrageous. Seriusly sweet as fuck. Didn't think of it as a dopplebock in the least, but as a barley wine... at at 14%, it's no wonder. Pretty good. I'd like to get more to age. And then tonight and just cranking into some of these: On another note, i had the Innis & Gunn Treacle Porter and was very disappointed, as I increasingly am becoming with I&G. They are all just starting to taste the same to me, and while i keep vowing to be done with the brewery, i am always tempted when i see a new one in stores. I agree with all including the Treacle Porter

Tried the Nogne O Underligjul last night. At first the nose was overpowering with the spices, but then as it warmed it actually got pretty tasty. Also had the Tiger Tripel and it was pretty good, almost a tiny bit sweet. I didn't pick up on the peat too much though.

Re: NOW DRINKING - BEER SNOBBERY VOL. 4
Hey everyone, That time has come. I've officially moved. A few of us Toronto'nians have been talking about having a beer session/tasting gathering. Now that everything is set up at home I don't mind hosting this at my house. I'm literally a day away from finishing up the final touches on the drum recordings for my bands first EP. This means that next weekend I think that this would be totally do-able. Perhaps even the week after. If anybody is interested, throw me a PM and we can discuss the proper day/time, my location, etc. If your not shy, we can do a beer review too. The reason I suggest my house is because if were drinking as much as we are going to be, than driving home for those people who don't live very close would not necessarily be an option. At least people can crash at my place if they need too.

When i had it I hadn't read the bottle yet and got a pretty obvious smokey flavour. It dissipated while i drank it though, i guess as my palate adjusted.

Finally drank the Patio Saison from Beau's and I think the ABV % snuck up on me. I was thinking it was a 4% beer not 6.3%

I've said before that crashing isn't really an option for me as I'd want to be at home for when my daughter wakes up, but I could still come down for a bit. Lemme know when you get it all sorted dude.

Serious IPA drinkers who like a hop bomb explosion in their mouth will probably find this a little lightweight. Fun can design. It was ok, not amazing to me. Sessionable though. Headstock destroys this beer. Fuck ya, I have one in my fridge right now. I'm gonna have it after I drink my Nogne O Two Captains DIPA tomorrow night before hockey. Sampled a can of Headstock watching the leafs game. Really impressed. Tasty beer. I agree it does destroy hopps and robbers.

Had two sixes of this so far, not bad, not the best milk stout I ever had but tasty enough.

I will not drink upper Canada in general, but if I ever had to drop cash on a 24 when I was broke that would probably be my direction. Their Dark Ale surpasses all of their other release with ease. I find that because it's a dark beer it really takes away from the watery taste that their other releases reveal.

Anyone tried this before? I keep seeing it around but it only comes in a 6 pack and I don't feel like throwing the coin down for a 6er until I've tasted one or it's recommended to me.

I think 6 beers is just the right amount to figure out whether or not you like a beer.
