Got my tax return.. About 8 months later than I should have. Oh well, weeeeeeeeeeee!

I haven't made chili in a long time, but I went shopping last night and made some just now. Pretty basic- ground beef, diced tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, corn, cilantro, jalapeno, garlic, chili powder.

Nailed it! Can't wait to try it tomorrow when the flavours are all mingled.

Day 2 chili is best chili!

I made a modest batch this time, probably just four or five servings. It's usually more like three gallons

I went clothes shopping yesterday, and discovered that I am down two pant sizes already! It just goes to show you that cutting back on junk and decreasing portion sizes, as well as eating a bit healthier can work wonders!

This reminds me, the bf's older brother is a chili master. I took some shots of the batch he made on his birthday weekend... probably two pounds of angus chuck and a full can of London Pride went in. I didn't think it could be better than your chili, but...

confession: something other than beans that chili and coffee have in common... i can't distinguish between the mediocre and the excellent. it's all fucking delicious to me.

The best chili is always the chili you make yourself. It's hard to be objective when it comes to chili.

"So I was wondering if you would be willing to go out to Sauvie Island where all the duck hunters are right now, get in this great Turkey costume I have and just kind of hang out and talk to them at their trucks while I take a couple photos? I like working with hot girls, because when my wife meets them, she gets a tiny bit insecure and "ups her game" to ensure I always stay attracted and interested in her, first and foremost.

So I left my keys for the lady this morning because I leave for work early and she doesn't work until later. I came home and my bed was made and all sorts of other things.

AWESOME.

Also, my Tea Mug right now is so big and full it actually takes two hands to lift.
