Overall, it’s a pretty solid list. I like seeing Asphyx finish so high and it’s nice to see most of my picks at least end up in the top 100. Looks like only HMB and I like the new Ahab. I am kind of surprised by that, because I thought that it was a great album once I got over the fact that it wasn’t quite what we expect from Ahab. I also thought that it was the type of album that might attract fans of more traditional doom styles, and make Ahab more popular. Guess I was wrong.

Even though I really enjoyed their first 2 albums, I haven't heard the new Ahab yet. I'll buy it eventually. I was thinking pretty much the same thing about Samothrace. I thought that this album would be much bigger than it is really (it's been more or less ignored as far as I know), especially since there's a lot of stoner in their doom and the mix sounded like a winning combination to me. Anyway, thanks for reminding me that there's a new Ahab CD to grab someday soon

7/15 albums in my list made it to the top 100, including one of them in the top 10 (not something that happens too often).

A little disappointed that Desaster isn't in there, and a little surprised Mongrel's Cross isn't in there as I thought I saw them in a few people's lists... maybe it just wasn't enough. Either way, Nekromantheon doesn't deserve to be there above those two bands, and if I were to redo my list (just ran out of time), I would remove Nekromantheon completely and add in Necroripper - Necrometal instead.

I'm the only person who put in Magnum Itiner Interius. That's cool, I doubt anyone else on the board knows them, besides MAYBE a couple other people. MII is Daniel Corchado's all instrumental band. I never picked up the first album, but I have the second and it sounds a lot like a continuation of the instrumental tracks on The Chasm's Farseeing the Paranormal Abysm. If you're a fan of The Chasm, and especially that album, then Magnum Itiner Interius is worth your time checking out. It probably would have placed higher on my top 15 list, but I'd had it less than a week by the time the lists were due. I knew it belonged in my list, I just didn't know where, so it ended up being tacked at the end. Given a little more time it probably would have been in my top 5, maybe even number 1.

BCTW- I listened to the Mongrel's Cross, Desaster and Nekromantheon albums extensively, but Nekromantheon was the only one I was compelled to put on multiple times daily. To me it was just way more memorable, gripping, and for lack of a better term, fun.

I think our preferences in this matter are so of in parallel to our respective preferences in Ketzer albums. I've warmed up to Endzeit Metropolis but it's still somewhat flawed in my opinion.
