The only good maple beer I've ever seen pulled off was from the Cannery Brewery. From Picton BC? Not to sure about the location, but that's what the brewery was called. They release the Blackberry Porter in the winter and the Maple Ale in the summer. They are the only brewery to have watched and commented on my reviews of them. Great people.

This was the one and only 1l beer I've ever ended up getting for free. Very roasted taste. I don't know if I was a fan of the viscosity, but aside from that no complaints.

I've seen that Blackberry Porter around and wasn't sure about it. I will look out for their stuff now.

If you get an old Blackberry Porter it will have a lot of sediment in it, so be sure to be careful when pouring it.

The maple beer is just straight up maple in your beer. Kind of reminds me of those maple cookies you can buy in the grocery store, except far from being too sweet. I don't recall it being sweet at all actually.

I liked it, it was very good, but wasn't world-class or anything. Nothing too different in it to make it stand out over other stouts, but it's a solid interpretation of the style.

Is this the XXXX IPA? If so, I thought it was great.

His reaction to much of the beer he tries is retarded and completely over the top and unrealistic, and then his cronies basically just follow suit without having a real opinion of their own. They mostly just react the same way he does.

Both he and the chick that reviews the Peche Mortel seems absolutely disgusted by one of the best beers in this country, and possibly the world.

I like your reviews dude. You usually give a beer a fair chance and never seem too bias towards anything. Even when you don't like something the reaction on your face is hilarious.

No, it was just their regular IPA. It’s a pretty basic one that uses mostly fuggles for hops, and doesn’t do anything out of the box. It’s the sort of beer that most people who like good beer could enjoy a 6 pack of, but probably wouldn’t go out of their way to get. I can get most of Shipyard’s core line here, but I never see the specialty stuff that you guys get in the GTA, and because of that I have never had their XXX IPA.

Personally, I am not that into Youtube beer reviews. To me, you normally can’t judge a beer until you have had a whole glass of it. Of course, some stuff is just gross but more often than not beer from a decent brewery is not something that you can really form a valid opinion of after a few sips. I would prefer to just read a review that somebody wrote after drinking the beer. That’s just me though, and if you like doing them and other people like watching them than more power to you. For the record, I did find the few reviews of yours that I watched to be somewhat entertaining. This Rhino guy just comes off as a dork and a tool, and it seems almost like he is on some kind of a beer geek power trip.

My first 100 beer reviews I used to drink all of them right in front of the camera. The most recent ones I haven't because after I do the review I usually sit in front of D3 while enjoying the rest of the beer. I really should finish them. The beginning, middle and end are always different. I have been putting notes by my videos so that if I notice the taste changes I'll put it on the detailed drop-down menu for those who care enough to look into it that deeply. I used to get comments on how fast I used to be able to pile those suckers back. New plan, finish the beers in my reviews and try to not burp like a raging beeraholic.

My main inspiration was actually from watching jjdaven's beer reviews. He's just such a character.

I wanted to pick one up the other day but the store was out. Came home from work today and birdog had picked one up for me. woohoo!

Finally tried this tonight. It was very good once it warmed up. I poured it too cold and had to wait it out, as it just didn't taste right. The change was quite drastic as it warmed, and it turned out to be as good as i hoped. Solid dark Belgian strong. I will be buying a couple more.
