Re: What are you up to right now as a musician?
I'm finally finishing up an album I've been writing for years. Last April or so I dropped a shitload on some core, high quality studio equipment. So now I can finally work on the songs in a deliberate, productive way--creating clicks, auditioning parts and ideas, layering guitars, getting proper sounds, programming, etc. It feels good; been a long time waiting for that kind of control over the craft.
So I've got 8 or so songs written, and am just finishing up clicks for the last track. When I get bored with that, I move to the other songs and work on other guitar lines, etc.
It's tough, as I recently just started an intense program in the States and it takes up a lot of time, but I'm here by my self so also don't have much of a social life. That gives me time to pick away at things in my little studio.
I'm really looking forward to getting things done and feel I'm making good progress, so that makes me pretty happy. It's been a long time waiting.

Since I don't have time right now to write something more meaningful, I'll just link to metal archives page http://www.metal-archives.com/artists/P ... rtis/32191All current and past bands are there, along with extra live stuff and miscellaneous

Signed on as bass guitarist with PAROXSIHZEM a couple of months ago. Aside from that there are two other musical projects that are in various stages of becoming real. Scheduling is a primary concern. I am also heavily occupied with repairing and building music gear. At the moment I have my own amplifier that is basically done aside from some channel switching bullshit, a SLOClone for INTO OBLIVION/CROMLECH, a tube screamer prototype, a spring reverb prototype all being worked on.
I also have a TASCAM 38 that I will be upgrading in the very near future
Only analog is real.....

Re: What are you up to right now as a musician?
I do, i have probably 12 or so reels. 10 or so have been bulk erased, the other few have some junk on them from when the previous owner was showing me how to use the machine.
We ran through a bunch of them so he could show me the noise floor and also to demonstrate how the 1/2" formulations he was using was apparently more resistant at shedding and whatnot. I probably would like to have a brand new reel on hand if i was tracking something serious. But if im running an old one for like an hour to check the levels/sound and theres no trouble, I anticipate that the reel should be ok.

Re: What are you up to right now as a musician?
My band is currently working on our 3rd cd, we probably have more tracks than is needed for the CD but its good to have some to pick from. The tracks are mostly at the scratch phase so we've got a bit of work ahead of us. Other than that I'm trying to do some recording projects on the side, have a bud that's trying to do a Scar Symmetry type band. I need to start selling some of my old gear too, running out of room

Re: What are you up to right now as a musician?
Clocking in at 14:57, I just finished recording the longest song that I've ever written. Going to release this on a new EP with the other 2 songs with a new label called Fatal Judgement in February (hopefully). Also am working on the album cover. I have no idea how others will receive this one, but I think it looks awesome.
