Heating pads.

A muscle on the lower/right side of my back has been rather sore this week.

As I type this, I'm under a blanket with my pants half off as this heating pad helps relax the muscle. It's so good that I feel like I'm asleep right now. Total bliss. I just wish that it would go even hotter.

I need to go back to my chiropractor and steal that machine with the electrodes that massages you by firing electricity through the problem area. THAT fucking thing is the dog's balls, man.

They gave me percs when I had the jaw surgery to chisel out my wisdom teeth. Those things are fucking awesome. Suffice to say that once I finished off the prescription that I made a rule to never touch 'em. Those things are tailor made for my drug tastes, so unfortunately that means I can't fuck around with 'em. I can see how people wind up hooked on those things - they're amazing.

Half the bottle was legitimately needed. The recovery was horrendously painful. But the rest of that prescription was taken in university when I was too broke to buy weed, and wanted to have some fun. Pop three or four percs, throw on some music, and find a place to lay down. Good times for sure, but yeah... won't be doing 'em again, just to be on the safe side.

I had a similar experience with vicodin. That's what I got when I had my wisdom teeth pulled. I only needed like 4 pills to make it through the first day. After that, Advil was fine. So I hung onto the bottle until I started my Public Speaking class at college. I hate talking in front of classes, man. Stage fright bigtime. I'd pop 2 or 3 of those fuckers about a half hour before class and just sail through my speeches. I got an A- in that class

As for percs, I got 2 prescriptions for those along with some muscle relaxers when I wrecked my back at Home Depot in May. Dude. I'd take 2 of each part-way into my shift because I actually needed the fucking things to accomplish any actual work, but fuuuck. I floated around on an opiate cloud for a bunch of shifts and wound up with like 4 customer service awards

The rest got taken at stoner/doom shows and that made Saint Vitus fucking awesome.

The family Christmas dealie with my aunts/uncles/grandparents/cousins/etc is this weekend. It's always a really good time, and I'm rather looking forward to it. Friday is gonna be insane. Work from 6am to roughly 2pm, go home, shower, pack, pick up my lady in Mississauga, go see Jason Rouse at the Hard Luck, possibly catch a drink after at Fistful of Metal if time allows, then go from there to Campbelford. Fall asleep around 4 or 5am, wake up around 9am and make with the Christmas party. Holy fuck, I can't wait
