Company golf tournament was yesterday afternoon. It's one big party every year, and something that's so damn fun that I look forward to it for months in advance. The vast majority of our guys booze it up, especially so at these events. I wound up drinking a 26 of gin over the course of 18 holes yesterday - no hangover today. I'm a little hazy with a very small and manageable headache, but considering the shit-show that that tournament is every year, I'll take it

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I'm fucking lucky to work for this company. The owner/management treats us great, and they party right along with all of us at these kind of events. I'm already counting days until the Christmas party

Having a sweet nature park and biking trails not even 5 mins away from my place. Had a great long walk just now and I feel great!

Portable City came to visit this past week and we had a ton of fun.

It's so quiet in the office today!

I've only seen two techs so far, and I was expecting about 15 before 9:30am, which is not likely going to happen.

We usually get a shipment of equipment every day, today we're not getting one so I don't have to spend a couple hours inventorying it all and getting it put away.

The guy I share an office with is off on holidays all week (except for tomorrow), so I can listen to Newstalk 1010 on the radio instead of fucking Kool FM (worst... station... ever)

I'm almost caught up on tracking all of the equipment used this weekend. I have about a day and a half worth of calls to verify and a 15 or so emails to send, and that will be done.

Stock orders are non-existent so far.

This is fucking awesome. I can get a bunch of random cleaning done in the stock room, and generally work at a steady but not insane pace today. The fact that I have time to Braveboard at all right now and the privacy in the office to do so? Oh shit yeah.

It's gonna be a good day, people. Six more hours, and I'll be home questing like a champ in Assassin's Creed: Revelations

edit: Maybe this isn't all it's cracked up to be. I still have three hours and 40 minutes to kill... I've got everything done that I need to do today. Too bad I'm hourly and not on salary, or I'd just go home

something good happened. it's kindof cunty of me to be happy about it but i wanted to vent happiness somewhere. and here seemed good enough!

Bad things happen to a bad person? That's always awesome. Nothin' cunty about enjoying a good old fashioned comeuppance.

it's not even that bad. my friend and his girlfriend split up. i dont know how it went down, but she's a super toxic person so yay!

Don't feel too bad. My wife and I have celebrated instances like this. I have one friend who dated a girl that was so horrible to him and all of his friends. She made him feel like crap so much of the time, never let him do anything, and even changed a lot of his beliefs (religious and otherwise) rather forcefully. He tolerated it because he thought he was in love.

She was a few years younger than all of us and thought she was so much smarter. I remember one particular "discussion" that she brought back from one of her community college classes. The question was: "can you dig half a hole?" Everyone there agreed that, yes, you can dig half of a hole if given specific dimensions. We did agree that it is still a hole, but she couldn't accept that it could be considered half of a specificly-sized hole. It was one of many frustrating moments.

Sometimes I think most people put up with her because she had such a good practice space for their band, but... after all the damage she did, I hardly think it was worth it.

I'm going to make $500 playing music this weekend. That's pretty swell.

I like the this long weekend!

The lady is off to Wasaga for the weekend for her sisters bachelorette (She's the maid of honour). I will be getting drunk as fuck all by myself tonight, cranking much metal tunes, followed by getting even more drunk and high as fuck and playing some old school NES (likely lots of Mega Man 2 to keep the awesome tunes going) and maybe even start playing Majora's Mask again on 64 and pass it so i can move on to playing The Windwaker

Then tomorrow i will be hosting a bbq for all my friends who weren't fortunate enough to have somewhere to go up north this long weekend. We will get drunk and high as fuck.

Then if i have it in me i will golf on Sunday... Maybe Monday if i don't have it in me.

Don't get me wrong, I love my girlfriend Candice a ton, but this weekend I need not worry about anyone but me!

Plus, we are off all next week and are hoping to head up north for a few days.
