 Re: 2012 Baseball Thread
BUMS!!! Can't believe the Jays fucked this save up... First Lawrie turns a simple 2 out routine throw to first into an error(his second of the game), then JP decides to make a pick off attempt at first and launches the ball into right field like he was trying throw a homerun or something. Still a chance to win this one... if not... Bums! The lot of 'em! ... Fuck I must look foolish sitting alone in my living room yelling at the tv if someone happened to walk in or something.

 Re: 2012 Baseball Thread
Man, they've looked so average this season... or below average. They've wasted some great pitching performances too, especially in the most recent Baltimore series. They better not lose this game, or it's back to .500 again.
I've loved the Jays my whole life, and this is the most excited I've been in a long time, before the season started that is. After watching them for a month now, and Bautista playing like shit, my excitement is diminishing pretty quickly.

You know, they hopefully fixed last year's biggest problem by signing Santos and Cordero, but Santos has been a flop already on the DL, and well... Cordero has been okay. This blown save wasn't his fault. Bautista is playing like shit. Lawrie and Encarnacion have impressed so far... everyone else... It's early in the season, but it looks like another season of .500 baseball at this point. Which will accomplish nothing for their future. ... Oh well, at least we're not Padres fans.

Alvarez gives up a dinger, and a double on the first two at-bats. This is not a good start

I always think, it could be worse for the Jays. At least they don't have a $150 million payroll and are 7 games under .500 (*cough* Angels)

 Re: 2012 Baseball Thread
It's a strange world when Gordon Beckham has one more homerun than El Hombre.
