RIP-omatic buddy. We met a few times and chatted online and you were the nicest and most entertaining person I've ever known. You've clearly touched so many people and I'm sure he would be so fucking proud.
I'm happy to see so many old names in this thread. I didn't know where else to offer my condolences and this was my first choice. You will be missed dearly sir. Earth just became that much shittier.

If it weren't for this place I probably never would have met him so I figured I'd post here. I didn't know him anywhere near as long or well as I would've liked to, but he was a fantastic person who will definitely be greatly missed.

 Re: Rest in peace Rab
Being a relative newcomer to the board I can honestly say that while I never knew the guy he clearly sounds like someone who lived and breathed the metal scene he knew and loved. Condolences to his friends and family and here's hoping that the afterlife resembles anything like the photos that he took of himself at 70000 Tons Of Metal.

I hope that wherever you are that you find yourself in a fine paradise of sorts. I fucking love you bro

Damn...just...damn
I did not know Rab IRL, never met the man or even spoke with him outside of this board, but I've always appreciated the joy, comedy, and celebration of metal that he brought to this community, which I'm sure is just a glimpse of what he was to all of you who knew him personally.
Nothing but a fucking tragedy. My heartfelt condolences to his family and to all of you who loved him.
RIP Rab. My cup is raised in your honor.

 Re: Rest in peace Rab
I met Rab at Adrian's Memorial and I will always appreciate him for enjoying the M_K cookies. I didn't get to talk with him much, but I REALLY appreciated his light hearted humor with his Balck Metal band...I loved how the band just enjoyed themselves and clearly didn't take their 'image' too seriously. Plus, the love that I see here on this board is hopefully the reason we all hang around here. Thanks for the funny posts Rab, you will indeed be missed by your peers and friends in the GTA. RiP my friend.

 Re: Rest in peace Rab
He was receiving some nice comments over at the facebook 70000 tons of metal group as well. To Rab, David Gold, and MPB, 3 very cool individuals I am very lucky to have had as long distance friends and thankfully met various times.

 Re: Rest in peace Rab
It is with a sad and heavy heart that I receive news of the passing of Rob 'Rab' Cranny. While we had our differences, some of them in this very forum, we did once share a very deep connection and friendship, and we shared many hopes and dreams together, and even realized a few along the way. It was friendship that brought us together and sadly for us was lost along the way. Well, he's in a better place than we, and you know he's crackin' them up wherever that is. Rest In Peace Metal Warrior. You fought hard and well, and you were loved by a great many people. Rest in peace, Rab.
