Is there something I don't know about these two that I should? Or are they just having slow starts?

They were horrible for the first month or so at least. Iced Ray popped a vein in his forehead and stuff. Then they turned it around and managed to blow it in the very last game... but Tampa was an unstoppable juggernaut at the end of the season.
