 2013 Baseball Thread
http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2012/01/j ... um=twitterI find it ironic that this was announced on Jorge Posada's retirement announcement.

Re: ATTN: Inchy, Birdog, Ray (????)
Seems all too convenient that Boston wanted to have their time in the headlines as well. Just me and my usual skepticism.

Well, that's probably part of it sure.
But that still isn't ironic.

Okay. You like to argue even when you have no reason to, don't you?

NO!!! They probably tried to sneak it in there. Or maybe they didn't. I don't care, honestly. And the misuse of the word "irony" is one of my biggest pet peeves. It isn't a personal or sports thing.

 Re: 2012 Baseball Thread
Prince Fielder signs with Detroit. Nine years, $214 million. I'm seriously debating giving up baseball until Larry Dolan proves he isn't just happy owning a team.

Meh, the Indians are irrelevant. Tim Lincecum, Giants agree on two-year, $40.5 million contract Big day in baseball. Also... Brandon Morrow 3 year $20 million deal

They traded away perhaps their best pitcher, and a young one at that, to the Yankees. Great news for a Blue Jays fan Last I checked King Felix is still in Seattle, and they have a really solid rotation, that could be one of the better ones in the league in a couple years. They need offense more than anything, and I think they got a pretty solid C prospect from them. And Fuck the Yankees!

Jotun wrote: Jays sign Bautista... and then do FUCK ALL to turn this team into a winner I suppose. They hopefully fixed their weakest link with Sergio Santos. If he can actually save games unlike the rest of the bullpen they had last year, they'll hopefully be competing for a playoff spot. Can't say they didn't try for Darvish either... Only time is going to tell if he has what it takes to be an ace in the Majors though. Has Texas come to an agreement with him yet or what? Haven't paid too much attention.
