Re: Braveboard Top Albums of 2010 A lot of why I didn't put a lot of more underground albums on my list is because it's all the same sounds and concepts all over again most of the time. The albums that DID make my list are by no means more original, just more interesting to me as a fan of the bands that made them.

It's been blasting out of my car for 4 days straight. This album actually came out of no-where to me. I've been so sick of this hyper-blast bullshit that Kataklsym has been doing for years. This has a lot more of an early Kataklsym feel than anything they've released post 2000, and it may be the only one that gets spins from me. Though I doubt I'll ever prefer new Kataklysm over Sylvain Houde-era.

If you're a fan of the early Raven stuff, I really think you'll enjoy it. The songs aren't quite as memorable as their best early-80's work, but it's at least in the ballpark, and the energy is back. Sounds like the old duffers got a second wind in the adrenaline department.

Re: Braveboard Top Albums of 2010 My top 5: Without a shadow of a doubt,the most spectacular,engaging,amazing,fantastic,mesmerizing,memorable,melodic,ass-kicking release of 2010:  Outstanding comeback cd from this veteran British band:  Another Thrash Masterpiece:  ...And another Thrash Masterpiece:  I don't think these guys will ever run out of steam:  So there is my top 5 for 2010.
