I'm not that surprised but if I had of made a list I doubt if Watershed would have even been in my top 50. Worst Opeth album yet IMO.

..I absolutly love Opeth's older work!...but Ghost Reveries is just awful..I like Watershed a tit better then GR.."The Lotus Eater" is a nice song..other then that, the album as a whole doesn't do much for me..and I don't think they deserve that first spot on the album 2008 list at all...

I think the opening song on the album, Coil, is the best tune on there which leaves a heck of a lot of filler.

Re: Braveboard Top Albums of 2008
Overall it was a pretty decent year for Metal. There are plenty of great albums out there that I still need to check out. Which means my 2009 albums will suffer.
1. Cradle of Filth - God Speed On the Devils Thunder (45) 2. Metallica - Death Magnetic (5) 3. Testament - The Formation of Damnation (7) 4. Opeth - Watershed (1) 5. Iced Earth - The Crucible (55) 6. Judas Priest - Nostradamus (25) 7. Kataklysm - Prevail (56) 8. Six Feet Under - Death Rituals (--) 9. Unleashed - Hammer Battalion (--) 10. Eluveitie - Slania (42)
Overall not bad. I had 4 albums in the Top 25, 3 being in the Top 10, and had 4 from the middle of the field (40-60). No shock on SFU not making the list, but was surprised a little bit by Unleashed not making the list.

I'm much more inclined to agree with this year's list as compaired to last year. Last year it seemed as if I was missing the boat.
Hell yeah!!!
