Re: Adrian 'The Energizer' Bromley - Rest In Peace
This is very sad news. I never got to meet 'Big' Adrian until some shows this year, but when I finally did, it was easy to tell why so many people had such a high opinion of him. There's few people you'll meet in this world who radiate hospitality and kindness the way he did. Always was a pleasure running into him. He'll surely be missed.
Condolences to all, and to Renee.
RIP Adrian

I can only echo the sentiments of the thread. Only met him a few times at shows, but read his work quite frequently. R.I.P.

From California, to Georgia, to Canada and Europe, he will be missed tremendously. I will miss his 2 minute phone calls. He could get 10 minutes of conversation in in 2 minutes. He was always on the go people, the day I met him, I realized the moniker "The Energizer." He was all that and more. Adrian, I am honored to have enjoyed the weekend with you at ProgPower in 2007. I am humbled. It is extremely difficult for me to be in front of my students today. I want to express my condolences out to the Bromley family and especially to Renee. Inertia, are we going to set up a Braveboard fund for services?? Anything to make a contribution?I would like to contribute. There would be no other way for me personally.

Well,,,,,some of the shock has worn off,,,,,and I just want to say, "Thank you, Adrian." I'll never forget meeting you, Adrian. You were such a bundle of infectious energy and an accomodating and gracious host. You will be missed my friend, and though I mourn as I type this, I also rejoice in your life. You lived more in 37 years than many will live in 80. Goodbye, my friend. I hope you have found peace. I will keep Adrian's family in my prayers, and that includes Renee.

Re: Adrian 'The Energizer' Bromley - Rest In Peace
I'm devastated, I've lost one of my best friends. No more nightly phone calls to see how I'm doing. I had ordered Adrian's birthday present & tried calling him on his cell yesterday & thought it so strange that he didn't answer. Then last evening I got a email from Noel asking me to call Sara(Adrian's sister). I knew something was wrong but I was hoping for an accident or illness that required hospitalization not this. I love you Adrian & my heart is broken. Senior citizens like me aren't supposed to outlive youngins like you. Goodbye my dear friend.
To live in hearts left behind is not to die.

Re: Adrian 'The Energizer' Bromley - Rest In Peace
I'm pretty much devastated. I don't think I'll ever forget the guy, and I've only met him on a number of occasions. Talked on the phone and chatted many times though througout the last few years. Good lad by all accounts. I was looking forward to working with him a lot more for the forseable future. He opened our doors to some things at the time when noone knew or cared about our aspirations. It's safe to say he was a person dedicated to the pursuit of his passion, and that's how I will remember him. RIP.

Re: Adrian 'The Energizer' Bromley - Rest In Peace
A little reflection of mr. Bunnyman: When I first moved to Toronto I had been on this board for a few months trying to make some contacts/friends amongst the Toronto meta scene. At the first metal show I went to he was the first person I talked to. He was extremely friendly, introduced me to 5-6 other people immediately and gave me a bunch of free back issues of Unrestrained. Needless to say I felt very welcome. I'm sure everyone else on this board has similarly fond memories of this guy. Cheers Adrian

Only knew him as MPB from this board, but it's still shocking when a familiar name/face is suddenly gone. Requiescat In Pace.

Re: Adrian 'The Energizer' Bromley - Rest In Peace
I'm very numb at the moment. This is a tragedy for the metal scene, not just in Toronto, because Adrian's work was international.
When Sarah and I were in New York we visited The End Records in Brooklyn and Adrian greeted us warmly and personally introduced us to every staff member and showed us around.
Adrian was responsible for setting up alot of interviews for The Gov's Ball over the years. No request was too big for him. He was helping me right up to my last trip to Wacken.
Lately I'd been getting alot of his emails about bands whose new release he was promoting, and I was excited for the future. My condolences go out to his fiancee, his family, and his close friends. The world of metal has lost a great warrior.

I'm in shock. He was an absolute pleasure to work with, one of the nicest guys I ever knew. I don't know what else to say. I'm going to miss those manic phonecalls.

Re: Adrian 'The Energizer' Bromley - Rest In Peace
He will be missed greatly. I had the pleasure of working closely with him with Unrestrained! for a number of years. He was always fun to work with and his enthusiasm was unmatched. He helped me realize a few of my dreams, I learned about many great bands and I met lot of really great people I consider good friends through him. But above all that, he was a great person. Always there when you need him. Always upbeat and cheerful. Always........ Adrian. There was nobody like him. The world would be a better place if there were more people like him around so his passing really hits hard. My thoughts go out to the Bromley family, the friends he's made and especially to Renee. Since they met, he's been happier than I'd ever seen him be. This is a tremendous loss. To Adrian, you will never be forgotten.

Five years ago he found out I was coming to Toronto for a show and offered me a place to sleep at his apartment (he was already putting up Reanimated and voracious soul). He met me at the Greyhound station, introduced me to dozens of people over the course of the night, and sent me packing with an armload of U!. Even though I only really got to hang out with him maybe a dozen times, he had a real impact on my life.
