Like so many solid albums this year this won't be on my top list, but it does get spins.

I propose a top 20 or 25 next year. Even with 15, I had to leave some killer albums off my list.
2005 may have been the best year of music in a long time for me.

I propose that next year it be reduced to a top pi list. You're allowed to post your top 3.14 albums.

That .14 albums could get tricky...

You have to pick a single or a really short EP! Or a live album or comp with very little new material.

Interesting choice of quotation. I would have expected a slighlty more familiar quotation from Iwarrior or 10th.

10th never really said anything specific that was memorable. When I look back on the 10th stuff, I think it was people's reactions to him that were way funnier than anything he would actually think to say.
******** delivered a lot more first-hand funny, (almost?) all unintended but still amusing for that. His best-known catch-phrase still needs another six months or so before it becomes a classic.
You know, to age, like fine cheese.
So for the moment, it's "FOR METAL!!!"
I wish we still had the old board, because then I could search on the "best BB inside joke or catch phrase" poll results. I know that "I want paid" and "FOR METAL!!!" came out way ahead, but I voted for something else and I can't remember for the life of me what it was.
I hate this board.

Am I able to edit my list? Because, honestly, I didn't know if the new Symbyosis would be out this year or not.

I cant really tell, there are so many good albums and most of them I prabobly havnt heard. my top three will have to be , from the ones I have heard: 1)
Riveerside-Second Life Syndrome(this is some awesome music, anyone into anathema, porcupine tree and Opeth should check this band out because its a jewel , I promise You will love)Beautiful melodies, awesome solos and beautiful vocals that M.Akerfeldt and S.Wilson always wanted are found here.(If You liked Anathema's "Judgement" or PT and Opeths lighter stuff this band should already be on Your favorites list. You will thank me later.
2) Porcupine Tree-Deadwing(awesome record, very emotional and beautiful . Wilson did a great job on this one with the production , much better than "In Absentia" . Some songs on this one , like for example "open car" are the best shit PT have ever written and thats just one of many on this opus)
3)Opeth-Ghost Reveries.I heard a lot of mixed reviews but this album in my opinion is amazing. It took me more than a dozen times of constant ear torture but finaly I began to understand the magic of this record. It is not an easy album to listen to and a average Opeth fan might give up after a few listens but as i discovered- it takes a while to really apreciate this awesome record and in my opinion this is more than a masterpiece.
4) Sceptic-Internal Complexity. This is a polish technical death metal band that got me interested with their 98 album "Pathetic Being" .Now with a new lineup and a new vocalist ( a girl) this band just fucking blew me away. The complexity and briliance of this recod is just beyond anything I have heard in a long while.Beautiful melodies and some of the most enovative riffs I have ever heard can be found on this album.Godly! Not to forget the awesome growls of Veronica, this girl got lungs of horror.
Thats my top 4. Hope the small reviews will help
