yeah.... there were some good releases, but no where near as many as last year oh well, hopefully this year will be better Yeah... not a great year for thrash, but if there was one album that stood out for me, it was Nocturnal Breed's "Fields of Rot" album. This is one helluva kick-ass disc from start-to-finish without one stinker in the bunch! It starts off with the track Wicked, Vicious and Violent which pretty much describes the album right there! Seriously, though, it never lets up and with songs like Invasion of the Body Thrashers, Manskinner and Too Damned to Conquer, could you really expect that it would? Also, check out the track called Iron Bitch, the pre-requisite Motorhead-inspired banger! One of the best songs of 2007! I highly recomend this album to anyone who needs some modern-day thrash, but where the spirit and the fun of the old-school days bursts its way through. Anyhow, here's how my list measured up to the Braveboard's: 01. SIGH - Hangman's Hymn (14)02. ROTTING CHRIST - Theogonia (15)03. NILE - Ithyphallic (2)04. DARKTHRONE - F.O.A.D. (57) 05. ENSLAVEMENT OF BEAUTY - Mere Contemplations (--)06. NIGHTWISH - Dark Passion Play (--)07. MARDUK - Rom 5:12 (32) 08. HELLOWEEN - Gambling With the Devil (30) 09. NOCTURNAL BREED - Fields of Rot (--)10. ANVIL - This is Thriteen (--) 11. LIZZY BORDEN - Appointment With Death (--)12. DARK TRANQUILITY - Fiction (31)13. W.A.S.P. - Dominator (--)14. MEGADETH - United Abominations (36)15. NOVEMBRE - The Blue (90)

I have heard approximately 2 of the top 10 albums. 9 and 10... and I have no interest in hearing the rest.

The guy may be a total fag, but he sure can write a good riff. I also strongly suggest you pick up some Ur Falc'h...one of the best Black Metal bands out of Canada in a while.

Re: Braveboard Top Albums of 2007
The DHG is a great album, but it's too much of a niche record stylistically to be appreciated by the majority of people on this board, or generally.
