Good to see ATP crack the list though (88). You don't have Ithyphallic on your list? Wait, you're right! I squeezed Ithyphallic in at the bottom at the last minute.

Surprised Deathspell Omega and Darkthrone aren't higher. That Darkthrone album is pretty awesome (although actually has no relation to my username)

dissappointed in the lack of love for the new impaled and blood duster, but what else is to be expected? Ya, I think you and me were the only ones with the Blood Duster on our lists.thankfully you reminded me at the last minute anyways... can;t wait to fucking see them!!! I was hoping to go but the Ministry tour is right around that time and I wouldn't be able to make the two trips out east.

I've got about 20-25 purchased metal albums from 2007. I should check iTunes via a Smart Playlist.

Thanks for compiling the list! After all the love for the latest record I'm surprised Nightwish didn't end up on the list.

Re: Braveboard Top Albums of 2007
Another great job, LoaF! It's always interesting to see how these end-of-year lists end up. Usually it's a surprise and this year is no different. I am surprised that Mayhem ended up number one and that Nightwish didn't even make it! Nice to see Ithyphallic in the number two position though!

Re: Braveboard Top Albums of 2007
You know, I left the Mayhem disc off my list because I figured enough people would vote for it, so it would make it. I guess I was right.

Only own 12 on the list but no surprise. My tastes are more towards power, flower, and traditional metal. I had a feeling that the Mayhem would be near up top. A lot of people here have praised it highly. I am a little surprised by Down being so high tho. I personally found it a bit disappointing but I thought the overall opinion on the board seemed to be somewhat split. I figured it would be somewhere in the upper half of the list but nowhere near the top 10.

Re: Braveboard Top Albums of 2007
First off thanks LoaF for doing a great job again on this I read through everyones lists the other day and picked up maybe 6 or 7 albums that I want to check out that I missed during the year or whatever. That to me is the best thing about this. Anyway I own 48 of the 100 albums and my list compares like this: Primordial - To the Nameless Dead (7) Sigh - Hangman's Hymn (14) Immolation - Shadows in the Light (23) Mael Mordha - Gealtacht Mael Mordha (NR) Time Lord - Requiem (NR) Iced Earth - Framing Armageddon: Something Wicked Part 1 (18) Against the Plagues - The Architecture of Oppression (88) Pig Destroyer - Phantom Limb (10) Doomsword - My Name Will Live On (61) Mayhem - Ordo Ad Chao (1) Reverend Bizarre - So Long Suckers (NR) Vulture Industries - The Dystopia Journals (NR) Destructor - Forever in Leather (NR) Sacred Oath - Darkness Visible (NR) Cephalic Carnage - Xenosapien (92)

Re: Braveboard Top Albums of 2007
Thanks LOAF for you hard work compiling the list.
I knew Mayhem would do well, but I certainly didn't think it would make #1. Ordo isn't a great black metal album, it's a phenomal metal album.
