Video Game Thread: Good Graphics Edition
Might as well start a new one. I just finished Crysis 2 (maxed out on PC) and boy what a pretty game. It makes me excited to play Crysis 3. I won't be able to afford it for some time, but I have been looking at trailers and screenshots. And it's probably the best looking game in existence right now. Here are two in-game shots from the PC version:

Metal Gear Rising "band" performing the material live. The singer is awful. http://www.ign.com/videos/2013/02/22/me ... in-concert

Why not just have The Shield on in the background, while playing Crysis? Actually, I might just do that...

In terms of how Psycho originally looked, as well as the fact that he's British, I'd go with Jason Statham. It's only in the 3rd game that he's beginning to look a little chunkier.

Heh. Every response from them on the issue has been wishy washy at best. I'm not surprised.

Pre Ordered The Battle Edition/Game Stop edition of Injustice. Comes with a really nice Arcade Stick. Only $150, and since Arcade Sticks are close to that price it's a steal IMO. Can't wait to Kick some ass with Green Lantern

Either the one that came with the collector's edition of Mortal Kombat 9, or the ones they made after that mimiced the original Mortal Kombat 1 arcade panel. But they're now hard to find and quite expensive. Expecially the PS3 version.

Hell yeah, The Game Grumps just did an episode on Strider 2. Definitely one of the most overlooked games on the PS1. And it's evidently one of Egoraptor's top 10 favorite games. Great stuff http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQeXFsqLG-U

The Tomb Raider prequel/reboot is really good. Gameplay is smooth and the graphics are amazing.

That's what I'm hearing too.
I've also heard it's pretty rudimentary. Shit, son!

Sim City reviewed in one minute. This seems to be the way most people feel about it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FsrzqJNQF8

Re: Video Game Thread: Good Graphics Edition
Here's a quick review of it as well: Quote: The core game may be enjoyable but I don't know why anyone would want to pay well over the odds for all the anti-customer BS that comes with it.
It expensive compared to other games, has limited edition DLC that should really be in the base game, always on DRM, save games in the cloud which will disappear one day, as well as access to the game will be turned off when its no longer profitable for EA. Small city sizes, reduced, simplified gameplay compared to Civ 4, microtransactions and DLC, no ability to load custom content, Origin only.
There are many reports of problems downloading the game, problems accessing the game due to the DRM, the EA forums are full of reports of glitches and bugs, including cities that have taken hours to create disappearing. I was completely unaware of DRM. I'm definitely not buying this game now. Case closed.
