i've never heard of a game or franchise or whatever, i'm more interested in getting an objective account of what the game is like rather than just view promotional materials released by the developer with the sole purpose of selling the game.

In a nutshell, X-Com was an awesome TBS game in the early 90's. It had a huge cult following.

The game was released last year, won a zillion awards, and is still continuing their awesomeness as a TBS game.

I just can't stop playing this game. (The game is currently minimized as I type this).

X-Com games = Good. You = Buy them.

And in the future, you could add the word "review" to your Google search. :)

In my opinion, the finest 3-D puroresu (Japanese wrestling) sim ever made.

I picked up Bulletstorm, and Infamous 2 dirt cheap this past Friday while I was out with my lady. I finally had time to sit down and get into some gaming last night, and plowed through some of Bulletstorm. What a ridiculous fucking game

It's like if Duke Nukem smoked a shitload of PCP and went over the top with violence :m:

X-Com is so hard, but rewarding.

There's a few in-game glitches I'd loved to have seen resolved, but oh well.

It's still one helluva fun strategy game.

I need to go through it again, make some different choices, since I just played through it once, gradually, as they were released. Should be fun playing through it again, all at once.

Picked up the new MLB The Show... been trying to play it for a while now.

I skipped 12, but I have 11 and 09... can't wait to check it out!

But first I had to install a system update, then download and install software for the game, then go back and free up space to install the game. Now it's currently installing with 18 minutes left. Might pass out before it's done.

Extremely fun indie platformer-ish puzzle game. I highly recommend it. If you like platformers and shifting the levels around, messing with gravity and location, to solve the puzzle whatever particular level to solve it. Really fun.

Image

Played a bit of the mobile version and had to get the actual game. Or at least this version of the actual game. So fun! It's equally as fun getting through the actual "levels" or "missions" as it is to just unsuccessfully fuck around by calling out "robbers", "murderers" and "sharks" to just fuck with the world.

Image

Another indie game. It's basically a survival adventure game with some horror elements. And fucking hard as all hell. For all the reasons that if you were suffering from a real-life mortal illness in real life. And had to deal with real life shit, like, you can fall from heights and be okay... Or strain yourself too much in the world, especially with being as deathly sick as you are. Interesting horticultural simulator though. I do like it for what it is. It's pretty original and realistic, well, for what it is, as an indie game. But damn, do I yell and scream a lot when I play it. Extremely difficult.

I tried to figure out what that meant. Does it mean I have to delete some of the games I've downloaded to free up the space?

I'm an idiot, so feel free to mock me for asking a lame question if need be. But I'd rather play the game at its full potential rather than having it be half-assed (which is still pretty good, but, y'know...).

Yeah, I had to do that. My hard drive is always so full... Didn't really delete downloadeded stuff as much as stuff I've installed before but don't really play anymore. Then this fucker came along... 10 gigs. Huge install for a sports game.

Only had time to play 1 game, but it wasn't awesome... Hammered Boston with the Jays 9-5. :m:

Picked up the latest Tomb Raider last night. Sure it's pretty much Uncharted with a super hot chick, but I am really enjoying it so far.

I'd have to agree with some of the reviews though - her change from being a reluctant killer to super soldier seems to happen pretty quickly. I mean, it's needed for story advancement and game play I suppose but still. If ever there was a game that could benefit from stealth mechanics I think this would be it. At least in Far Cry 3 the change from survivor to homicidal maniac was gradual and made sense.

I'm behind on gaming, but I've done on xbox recently Max Payne 3, Halo 4, Batman: Arkham City, and now playing Gears of War 2, and the 3rd one will be played after (even if Judgment just came out, gotta play them in order).

For my next games I was looking at Dishonored, Crysis 2 and 3, Dead Space 2 and 3, Resident Evil 6...those worthy? anything else I should play? A friend of mine recommended X-com (already discussed) and the Bioshock games. I'm not into RPG or shit like that anymore, don't have the time for it, mostly 3rd person games and FPS are my go-to games so no I won't even try Skyrim

This comes out in Japan in July and it will be in my hands a week or so later. From what I've seen so far, it's my personal pick for GOTY. It's not a AAA title or franchise but it's one of the best series you've never played.

Damn, looks solid! Didn't that series used to be a horizontal spaceship shooter? I seem to remember playing an EDF on SNES that kicked ass.
