Rook, feel free to send me a proposal. I can't imagine wanting to deal a goalie, but it's not like their immovable.

Re: The 2013 BBer Hockey Pool - Sprint for the Finish
Trade deadline is in a couple weeks, folks.
Looks like I'm pretty much done for. If anybody wants to make a push, I need some draft picks. Crosby and Sedin are off the table. Pretty much everybody else is available. Make me an offer, folks.

Re: The 2013 BBer Hockey Pool - Sprint for the Finish
Team's been on a heavy downswing lately. I'm not 100% that I'll sell off any players yet, but the fact is that there is only about two weeks left until the deadline. I wanna make sure that people know that I'll make players available if the right picks/offers are sent my way. I'm not selling the farm yet. I've also worked like a motherfucker for the last few weeks, I haven't seen my lady in about three weeks, I'm exhausted and grouchy as hell. That all leads to me being... reactionary

Re: The 2013 BBer Hockey Pool - Sprint for the Finish
Oh well. To be honest, to trade a draft pick, I'd want someone I'd use as a keeper, and you only have three. Two you took off the table, and the other one is Kunitz.
I play this with my heart too much to allow any Penguins on my team.

Re: The 2013 BBer Hockey Pool - Sprint for the Finish
I can keep Henrik for next year and the year after, so there's no way I'm letting him go. I'd have to be insane to do it. Crosby is just too fucking good to let him go, even if I can only keep him for one more season.
I'm not sure who my other keeper will be, but I do know it'll be a goalie (likely Niemi, due to him also having two years left of keeper eligibility).

I can't bring myself to do it, but I'll keep you in mind and see if we can swing a deal closer to the deadline

Well, I had two goalies facing each other, and either/both of them were capable of putting up a big game.

It wasn't Dallas vs Nashville? Oh... maybe that was the day before. I'm tired and this is the last thing I care about.

Movin' on up. I think I was in 10th or 11th a couple weeks ago. Sitting at 6th right now. Funny what happens when I actually pay attention. Having a couple minor issues right now, though.

Re: The 2013 BBer Hockey Pool - Sprint for the Finish
Hey Derek I had a question. Do we get to 'reset' our keepers at the end of this season or are we stuck with who have until the three years are up? Michalek has just been a fucking mess this season.

Re: The 2013 BBer Hockey Pool - Sprint for the Finish
I'm pretty sure you can pick new keepers every season.
It'd be bollocks if you were stuck with someone for two years because of one good season, especially when people expected to have great seasons end up on the can't cut list.

Re: The 2013 BBer Hockey Pool - Sprint for the Finish
I'm heading out soon, so if this doesn't answer your question well enough, just grab my cell# off my facebook and shoot me a text and I'll follow up that way. You can keep three players. You do not have to keep the same players that you kept last year. Anybody who you did NOT keep last year can be kept for next season, as well as the season after that if you want to go the whole three year cycle. Anybody you DID keep last year that you want to keep again can be kept, but you are under zero obligation to do so. So here's some examples. This year I drafted Henrik Sedin. If I decide to keep him, I've got him for next year and the year after if I want to go that route. Sidney Crosby was a keeper from last year. I can keep him for next season, then after that he goes back into the draft. This time frame also applies to other managers if I trade him. With the trade deadline coming up in a few days, this is something that everybody should keep in mind in regards to trade value if you're looking at setting up for the future, rather than just building up for a run this year. So if I send Crosby out on a trade, whomever gets him can only keep him for next year because I've already used one of his two keepable years. Players can only be kept for the full two extra seasons if they are drafted, or picked up off waivers. This makes sure that players like Crosby are up for grabs every couple of years. So, Adam, if you keep two of your original keepers, and replace one of them: the two you kept last year and keep this year will be able to be kept one more time. The new keeper that you selected can be kept for next season, as well as the season after that. I have a list saved of everybody's keepers from last year if anybody needs further details

Just a few days until the trade deadline, folks. March 21 is the deadline, so if you need to swing a deal, now is the time.

Re: The 2013 BBer Hockey Pool - Sprint for the Finish
Consider my team a fire sale.
I'm willing to let pretty much everyone go for a price (keeper for next year or high draft picks)

Likewise. I'm looking for draft picks, so fire away if you're looking to make a run and make me an offer

not really interested in much else derek, you've pretty much taken everything of value off the table, and i'm not going to give up a high pick and fuck myself for the draft unless i'm getting someone who can really help me now.
