 Re: Fitness Thread (2013 Edition!)
I've been tempted to sign up for the gym across the street from my work... problem is, I have foot problems... I guess I'm getting old or something, but I basically have arthritis in my left big toe. It cripples me to the point where I walk like Terry Fox sometimes. I had a night a couple weeks ago that I never want to go through again... the pain in my foot was so bad I almost started to cry. Gave it a contrast bath and heffed myself up on anti-inflammatories, which was great at the time, but... it's still a nagging issue... My stupid doctor is no help. I get the advice "Keep off it!" Should I be one of those "Every day is upper body day!" guys?

If you're looking for cardio to work around that issue, would the row machine be too hard on your toe?

I'm going to go see her again, but next time I'm hoping she can give me a recommendation to a Podiatrist. There's something wrong with my foot, and "keep off it" isn't going to fix it.

AHHHH-NOLD I follow numerous female body builders on instagram and FB ... seeing their photos also makes me want to go to the gym.... mainly because I feel lazy when I look at them.

 Re: Fitness Thread (2013 Edition!)
Got an x-ray on my knee to basically find out that I experienced trauma to the knee (duh) and that if it still persists in two weeks after doing some exercises they gave me, I'll need an MRI.

200lbs on the seated leg press tonight. I feel like I will be able to do 220 soon. I don't know if this is actually awesome.....but it is good for me.

I am using the stairs at work now. I work on the 5th floor.
I'm not going to become a fatass, dammit.

 Re: Fitness Thread (2013 Edition!)
Alright... new weight loss motivator. I need to get myself to fit into a size they sell this shirt in. Fuck! http://shop-hellsheadbangers.com/item.asp?PID=27843I think once Spring is finally here, I'm going to buy a bike and try to just ride the five miles to work three days a week (the other two of the days I have to drive the kids further to daycare).

 Re: Fitness Thread (2013 Edition!)
One of my motivators was that I wanted to fit into my M-size shirts again. (they were tight, but they were sexy )
I'm not so sure that's ever likely to happen now, but it's better at my size now than at my bigger one that's for sure.
