Well its not for everyone but I happen to enjoy it. I guess we're not alone on our opinions either the beer advocate lows / highs are 1.5/4.88 with an overall rating of 79.

Big news for us Ontario beer drinkers, Founders Centennial IPA is coming to the LCBO! Word is it's coming in Spring, and we can only hope that if this sells as good as we think, it'll lead to a brewery feature!

I picked up a 4 pack of this today. It's a good beer, classic balanced English style ale. Not what we think of as an Xmas beer these days, but exactly what I was expecting. Good news for you guys getting something from Founders up there, hope you get more than just the one brew though.

I've had a bottle of this and it is pretty nice. So tomorrow I am off to the States for Christmas.

I'm praying, I was hoping it was the Breakfast Stout but anything will do by them. I hear it's all amazing.

Not too overbearing on the Hazelnut, and very tasty.

I miss the bottles they used to ship year last year. The Summer something.... the chapotle brew, etc.

These are now on sale single at the LCBO. It used to be you could only get them in some six pack that was a mix of six different beers. No longer. Do yourself a favour and buy as many of these as you can. I think they're $2.75 each, but drink with caution. They're 10.5%.

You can still buy them in that Belgian Mix Pack every christmas holiday season. I saw it on the shelves this year. I too was surprised to see it in single bottles for the first time. Perhaps it's catching on.

Only drink it at room temperature though! It tastes like shit cold!

Possibly my favourite beer ever.

There have been some batches that were kind of syrupy with hazelnut, but usually it's amazingly balanced.

I was quite pleased with it. And definitely no syrupy taste. The hazelnut was more of an aftertaste. I'll definitely need to buy more. Too bad they're 8 bucks a bottle here.

They are about the same price here as well.

Tried the Nogne Porter last night, and it was fantastic. Blows away "London Porter" IMO.

Also tried Beau's "Patio Saison". Let's just say I wasn't impressed. It was my first time trying the style, and it just tastes like a wheat beer with some pepper, that's it. Hopefully this isn't indicitive of the style, as I like mostly all beer styles to some degree.

Also had Beau's "Farm Table" Belgian Style Ale last night. It was good, just nothing out of the ordinary, but good for the style for sure.

Got a pretty damn nice beer haul for Christmas. Don't think I will have to be going to the LCBO in for awhile unless something gets released that is epic. I did find a bottle of Stone Ruination IPA but it expired Sept, 09, 2011 on the shelf but I left it there cause there was mad sediment in the bottom.

Stuff I bought:

Single's:
1x Middle Ages Wailing Wench
1x Samuel Smith's Imperial Stout
1x Rogue Chocolate Stout
2x Stone Arrogant Bastard Ale

4-pack of Guinness (From the previous time I was in the states)
4-pack of Dogfish Head Chicory Stout

Stuff I received as gifts:

Single's:
1x Black Creek Dray Horse Ale
1x Affligem Blond
1x Innis & Gunn Spiced Rum Finish
1x Ayinger Celebrator Doppelbock
1x Lake of Bays Mocha Porter
1x Olvisholt Brugghus - Lava

1x Paulaner Oktoberfest gift pack (1L Beer and 1L Mug)
2x Three King's Brewery gift set (3 beers-Vienna Lager, Pilsner and Dark Lager, 1 Pint Glass)
6-pack Guinness Black Lager
6-Pack Lake of Bays Spark House Red Ale

Also got a 45 slot Bottle Tree for homebrewing. So now I can properly dry 45 bottles at once and not have any liquid at the bottom of the bottles after sanitizing them.

I think I had a MIke Duggans SAIZON. It was the last beer he released before going out of business because of the whole issue with the sizing of his bottles. It was fucking disgusting on epic proportions. I was hoping the Beau's would be a better experience.

I dunno, I guess you have to like the style. Just didn't do anything for me and it was a challenge to finish. However I had the Sleepytime Stout last night and it was great.

Saisons remind me of a cross between a belgian wit and a belgian strong. I like em :)

Over the holidays I had these...

Muskoka Winter Beard Double Chocolate Cranberry Stout. I bought two. One to have right away, and one for aging.

Finally drinking one worth sharing:

Great to see that Iceland is a prominent figure in craft beer production. I dont remember seeing any beers worth a fuck (or export) when I was there. Viking was cool, but only for the name.

Had this one last year and it was very good, need to get another.

I'm drinking the Nogne O Two Captains DIPA right now. Really good with a tiny bit of smokiness, kinda like a stronger version of Amsterdam's "Boneshaker" IMO.
