I will try that, I was waiting for a good time to open it. I must say the Cobblestone Stout out of a Can is fucking amazing, I believe they obtained this buy infusing the nitrogen into the Can instead of having it in the ball like Guinness. One of my new favourite stouts for sure.

Re: NOW DRINKING - BEER SNOBBERY VOL. 4
Over the past few nights I've delved into: Garrison was okay, as i expected. The Sam Smith Raspberry was something else that's for sure. I liked it a ton but it's almost a beer to be shared, the entire 600ml, or whatever it is, is a little much... i even had an allergic raction since i sometimes do when i consume too much strawberry or raspberry and other like fruits. Legit raspberry that's for sure. Drinking the Terrible right now. I like it more than i thought i would being how dark it is. I was worried about a lot of dark fruit flavour, which is there, but it's enjoyable for me along with the usual taste of a Belgian strong. Whatever makes the style so unique is definitely here. A worthy buy, and worthy of future drinkings. I'm always happy when i can enjoy a beer that has such a prominent plum and raisin like taste.

Re: NOW DRINKING - BEER SNOBBERY VOL. 4
I just brewed my first beer last night. It's a gluten-free beer since I'm celiac. The second week of December, I'll be trying it out. It'll be close to a Budweiser beer (unfortunately) because Bud is relatively low in gluten when compared to other beers. Anyway,

Anyway, Not bad, I don't have that much experience with gluten-free beers but I know homebrewing and you should get a nice yield from that, about 60 12oz bottles? (if its a 5-6 Gallon batch) Well I guess you can make Rice beer as well? I know some homebrew stores carry rice husks and other Rice beer things..

It is very raspberry and I love raspberry so It works well for me and I can easily down a full bottle in no time but I do agree sharing it with someone works well. Damn, I'd love to get my hands on a couple bottle of those.

One of my new favourite stouts for sure. I agree with you 100%. The only other stouts out there like it are Kilkenny and Guinness and it basically destroys them both. Because the cobblestone stout is so carbonated when you open it I tried my buddies trick of tapping the top of the can with my finger a few times. Then when I open it, I open it partially so that it can breath. When I finish hearing the can aerate itself I open it completely. Sometimes this doesn't work, but at least I can control whether the can explodes 3 out of the 5 times I open it.

Here's the list of beer I have had aging for 6 months to a year so far, with a few very recent pick-ups... if anyone cares. Two large blow-up air mattresses too if people would prefer that. :P

Now once in a while i'll pick of a couple of bottles of something that i can age, drink one and age the other. Not that often though, since there are only certain styles that are any good to age anyways.

Got the Southern Tier Mokah today, and holy fuck is it good! I didn't get to try the Choklat or Javah that they're based on, but I can only assume that godly is the word used for describing those. Mokah was great, as just like all the other ST brews, this was exactly as it was described. It was a little bit boozy (at 11.2% how could it not be), but it was balanced out well. I loved it. Any opinions on this?

I would do that for sure, but I wouldn't be staying over as I have a 4-year old and don't wanna be away from her overnight just yet (ya, I'm a big softie, fucking shoot me), but I'd definitely come by for a bit!

I got the Mill Street Seasonal Sampler yesterday!
In it was two bottles of Organic, one Stock, and three specials... the Paradise IPA, Cobblestone Stout and a Czech-style pilsner called Doppel Pils.
So far I've had the pilsner and it went down like water, at 7% ABV.

I haven't had the java yet though, and for you, the Choklat is again available here in LCBO right now. Also very good, and very Chocolatey. But yeah, the Mokah is a beast unlike the others. Very glad we have it up here. I've already grabbed another bottle.

I keep hearing conflicting things about the aging process with certain beers. Some say it brings out more flavour, some say it shouldn't be done. What are the pros to doing it? Bottle maturation? etc.? I basically know as much as you. I believe the pros and cons will be mostly personal preference, especially with some beers like the coffee and chocolate flavoured ones. Those flavours apparently become a little more subdued, and less up front, which is something I'm interested in, as while i like them fresh, sometimes i think I'd like it a little better if they sweet chocolate or coffee flavours weren't so powerful. As for Barley Wines and Russian Imperial Stouts, apparently they can just become much better with age, as well as Trappist beer and Belgian strongs. But it still seems to be a lot of personal preference. I may try some beer i've aged (like the Choklat) and prefer it fresh. Won't know til i try. So i'm trying As i always say, i don't pretend to be a know it all, because i don't really know a lot about beer for the most part. I just know what i like, and now what other people may like, as a whole. The fine detailed knowledge will come with time...and effort in research. As this article says... aging/cellaring is still in it's infancy. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/life/foo ... le4179635/
