I don't get why everyone believes the Leafs haven't been a good team since '93. The leafs won more playoff games than anyone during Pat Quinn's tenure in Toronto, except for i believe Colorado. Or maybe Detroit, one or the other and possibly both.

They didn't win it all, but the sure as hell were relevant.

Oh, yeah. I forgot. Going to Game 7 in the Stanley Cup Finals is irrelevant. Having the team that takes out of the playoffs in four consecutive years win the Cup is irrelevant. Winning the President back to back is irrelevant.

All of that is far more irrelevant than having the longest drought of post season appearances. It's more irrelevant than having not appeared in the Finals longer than most teams have been around. I'm sure that having been to the Finals three times and having been one win away from hoisting the Cup makes a team less relevant than being unable to get into the top 50% of the league for almost a decade.

Ha, I'd agree with that. Even when I was going to 40+ games a season for a few years I always avoided the home opener. It always ends up with a bunch of people who have no interest in the actual game just coming to hang out and throw paper airplanes on the field.

I think one big issue I have with Jays games is that they seem to be looked at as a 'family outing' or somewhere people can go to just hang out for a few hours with their friends instead of, you know, a sporting event.
