I'm baking some banana muffins with dark chocolate chips in them. I haven't done any baking in a long time.

In case any of you are wondering, I don't ever plan on trying the four cheese burger at Harvey's. I don't find that much cheese on a burger very appealing.

Can be. They can also taste like an uncooked mess. Personally, I like my ground beef at least medium well, but if it's house ground, small batch ground beef, I'd eat it damn near raw (if it's cooked right).

 Re: Food Obsession and Randomness!
I had a couple in NYC and was very pleased. I'll miss that now being back in Canada, where few restaurants actually cook ground beef less than well done.

I know that Calgary is the city known for beef, but I figured that all of Alberta would have quality beef joints. It's kind of sad if you don't have high quality burger joints.

 Re: Food Obsession and Randomness!
For the first time ever last night, I prepared fish for dinner. I've never done that before... ever. Just some tilapia with some garlic and other seasoning. Turned out pretty good, actually. Shame I didn't have any lemon at home, though. Would have been a nice touch.

It's kind of sad if you don't have high quality burger joints. 1. I'm not too familiar with Calgary, so maybe someone like T-Rab could comment a little more. 2. I think it has less to do with "quality beef" and more to do with stricter regulations in Canada regarding un(under)cooked ground beef.

I think Jebus mentioned a place here in Edmonton that will actually cook a buger less than well done. Don't remember the name though. Those Americans can probably properly cook burgers too.

Get yourself a burger while you're at it.

Just had a burger at the hotel in Minneapolis. Was so pumped when the server asked how I'd like it done!! I really wanted to say blue rare just to watch the other dance moms jaw drop.
This is definitely an area where Canadians fuckn suck!

I get to go to Ras Al Khaima only twice a year, so this is the time when I indulge in my favorite food: Peacock tongues marinated in squid ink, served on crispy fried glass noodles. So good, omnomnom
