Pots and pans have been flying around my place the last week,got some beef bones from the butcher and made some beef stock,made a pot of awesome chili,chicken stir fry...all turned out amazing.

I finally had Indian food with a friend the other night and it was pretty good...not as hot as I thought it would be,but still really good.

It was Dan's birthday yesterday, and I made him a special dinner: butternut squash and coconut soup with warm, homemade seeded rolls for starters, slow cooked pork belly and crackling on a bed of mushroom risotto with baby vegetables and roast potatoes for mains, and on request, chocolate cake with buttercream frosting and dark chocolate shavings for pudding.

Holy shit, that sounds amazing!

Just made a cuttlefish salad with rice vermicelli. Pretty simple. I just flash blanched the cuttlefish and then finished the cooking marinating in citrus juice. I dressed with sushi vinegar, ginger, garlic, and lime juice topped with crushed chilis for a bit of heat.

I have a few things highlighted. Maybe sometime we should try a couple joints? We could split mains at 2 or 3 places that are relatively close to one another....
Just an idea....

I really wanna try the new ultimate stuffed crust pizza from our good friends at Pizza Hut.

I love the idea of those stuffed crust pizzas, and that one looks really good too. Am I the only one who has found their stuffed crust pizzas unbearably salty though?

Sure, it looks good in a picture, but Pizza Hut is pretty crappy in general. I can’t imagine that the stuff that they stuff the crust with is any better than the rest of the ingredients.

Out of all the major chains, I'm not sure why I crave Pizza Hut the most. Of course there are a thousand other great pizza joints here, but that's the chain pizza I always crave. Can't explain it.
